What we've got to look forward to.
23 March, 2012
The moon is in the waxing New (Ragabash) Moon phase (5% full).

Even though he has a key to the front door, Flint's gone through the whole routine of quickly waving at the security camera this time, and waiting for the person on duty to buzz him and Alexandra in, and then he lets the door swing shut behind them. "So, this is it. Ain't much, but it's home, and. Don't hurt the cockroaches around here, okay?" The last point, as he leads the other cliath over to the couches that form a seating area in the lobby, seems to be particularly important, and while they're not quite as prevalent in the lobby, there are the occasional cockroaches that skitter about the floor. "And you know. Leave a different way than, than you came. Don't come the same way twice, et cetera. I… be right back?" Flint points to the couch again, for Lex to sit, and then detours off into the small office for a moment, the door shutting behind him so he can spend a minute or so talking with whoever's inside.

Alexandra makes a face at the skittering bugs. THAT is going to take some getting used to, clearly, but equally clearly she takes the request seriously, careful as she crosses over to the couch and takes a seat. "Will do. I'll talk to Nik-rhya about learning more tips and tricks for how to do that better, too, just to make sure. I can see it being good to know in general."

Not too long passes before Flint returns from the office. An opened can of cat food is set down outside the office door, and then cheerfully enough, the Glass Walker makes his way over to join Lex on the couch. Clearly the cockroaches don't bother him anymore. "Yeah. I. Just basically, we want to be really careful and such, 'cause. This is our home, and. Anyway." The topic is waved off, and the Galliard twists in his seat to point at the door he had disappeared from. "That's the office, and, security, and. We always have someone there, so." Then he points to the currently open doorway to the laundry. "And that's the laundry, and. There's a hotplate in there, for. For coffee, or whatever, and sometimes food. And. There're a lot of cockroaches in the basement, so. So you know."

Alexandra replies, "So I'll stay out of the basement, then. Mostly, though, I'll probably just stay out here unless you're with me. Is everyone here Garou, or do you have kin filling some of the positions, too?"

Flint nods. "Yeah. Basement's just. In case of stuff, and all," he explains. "And, most've the folks here are Garou, but. Kin can come and go, Nick's living here, right. Right now, and Kovo—Iakovos, he's. Fury Kin—is around occasionally, and. There're others, but most of them. Don't live here, or all." Flint curls into his corner of the couch, stretching slightly, and like he's been doing the whole time, flips his cell phone open and closed in a nervous, anxious manner.

Alexandra says, "I think my parents may be the only Shadow Lord kin. Or else the others just aren't around very much…I've never met any, and I've never heard Nik-rhya mention them. But then, there were only two Shadow Lords at first. Hayden and I, Andrei and Ky, and now Draco-rhya all came recently, so most of them wouldn't have any kin here." She pauses for a moment, then asks, "You know about the situation with Andrei and Ky, right?"

Flint purses his lips and nods. "Mostly, yes, I've heard about it, from Kaz-rhya. The Dancers that, the ones after your tribemates… They're the reason Nick is staying here right now, the Dancers seem. They compromised his place and such," the young Galliard explains, cell phone flipping shut after he sends a quick message.

Alexandra says, "I don't know Nick, so I don't know anything about that part. But the Dancers—we'll be dealing with them today, so they shouldn't be able to bother anyone again."

The Glass Walker nods, lips pursing a little further before he reaches over to clap Lex on the shoulder, gently. "Good. With Kaz-rhya, right?" Apparently, Flint's heard some of the little mission. "I'd. I'd say, I'd go and have your back," and Flint sounds like he really, *really* wants to, "but there's. I need to stay here, today. Because, Kavi-rhya, and Rina, and I have security detail next, and. Be careful okay?"

Alexandra says, "Yeah, with Kaz-rhya, and Nik-rhya…I'm not sure who else will be going. It'll be…strange, though. Killing something that doesn't look like a monster. Or doesn't always, anyway. Even knowing what they've done. I haven't had to to do that yet. But a Shadow Lord brought this here, and as a Shadow Lord, I have to help set it right."

"They're still of the Wyrm," Flint says, though there's a tone that he understands that that doesn't make it much easier. "You'll tell me all about it after, and. I know you do, and, yeah." Flint and Alexandra are both sitting on one of the couches in the seating area of the lobby, and the Galliard's curled into his corner of the couch somewhat, the occasional worried furrow of brow sneaking to show through.

"I will," Alexandra agrees. She laughs, then, a little bit forced, but with some humor in it as well. "I wonder if I'll be limping around again afterward, though. Heal up from the skull-pigs, then it's a crystal dragons, and now Dancers. I definitely don't have to worry about getting bored around here."

"Just wait until it's shadows that turn out to be pudding," comes Devon's voice from the stairwell. He's in Glabro when he steps into the lobby, and further wonderment, he no longer looks Flint's age. "Or centipedes." One corner of his mouth pulls up slightly as he looks at Alexandra then Flint. "'Sup."

Flint looks at Devon, and there's a twitch of a smile. "Oh, good," he says, the first reaction to seeing his tribemate. "Hi Devon." The teen straightens and then leans back. "Or then it's leeches that. Get in your head and such," comes Flint's addition to the chorus of icky things, with a grimace.

Alexandra offers Devon a wave of greeting. "Ah, the things I have to look forward to in the days ahead!"

"Just wait until they look perfectly normal," Devon says, returning Alexandra's wave with a bandaged hand. "Come to find out they're fomor. When'd Nik start letting his cubs come out in the city alone?" It's a valid question, posed curiously and in polite tones.

Flint cracks half a grin at Devon's last question, suppressing a chuckle, and nearly opens his mouth to say something, but instead he reaches across the couch and shoves Lex in the knee, something added *very* quietly for her hearing. "Introduce yourself," is said in an amused tone.

"To the best of my knowledge, he doesn't," Alexandra replies, pausing briefly before she adds, "but his only cub is back on Equinox tribal territory at the moment. Seeks the Raging Water to Silence Her Strike, Cliath Ahroun of the Shadow Lords," she offers by way of (re) introduction.

Devon laughs, sort of. It's a breathed 'hah' kind of thing. "Really. Good job." He shakes his head, though that half grin remains. "Guess it's safe to say this, if you're goin' to be hanging around out here. There's a guy named Thomas." He pauses to include Flint as well. "Got a hunch he's not just human. Be careful around him, seems nice enough, but considering everything else that's been going on…"

Flint nods to Devon. "'Kay," he states, quiet. "Devon, did you… hear what's up with Rina at. Right now?" There's a faint tone of uncertainty in Flint's voice, that same worry that Lex heard earlier before they arrived at the tenement.

Alexandra says, "Thomas. I'll remember. You have a picture of him, or a description or anything, so that I know if I'm talking to the right one?"

"Something's wrong with Rina," Devon asks, some small measure of concern. He holds up a finger to stay Flint's answer while he shakes his head at Alexandra. "It was dark, didn't get a good look. Think he's older'n me. Got an accent. Moved like he was in no real hurry."

Alexandra eyes the time, and offers, "I should get going. Have to meet up with Nik-rhya for some preparations beforehand."

Flint nods to Lex. "Seeya, Lex." There's a smile for the Shadow Lord Ahroun. "You be careful, 'kay?" And then, more solemnly, there's a nod for Devon, though Flint doesn't wait for Lex to leave. "Lefty-rhya and April-rhya and I found her, yesterday, with. A leech, she was. Drinking from it, and we." This is a full-fledged frown. "Kavi-rhya's with her now and I've been checking on them and."

"Keep it real," Devon says to Lex, going so far as to close the door when the younger Ahroun leaves. His attention turns back to Flint, disgust quite plain in his expression. "Uh. Ew? The hell happened that she went off that way?"

Flint sighs. "No fucking clue. I don't know, okay?" Flint's clearly unhappy about the turn of events, but, it's masked well. "Kavi-rhya isn't taking it so good. And. I should get back up there and make sure Kavi eats something."

"Hey, don't need to bite my head off about it," Devon holds up a hand to ward off any bad vibes. "That sucks. And I wasn't saying it's your fault. Sheesh." He doesn't wait for Flint's response, turning away while shaking his head, heading for the basement.

Flint pushes to his feet. "Sorry, Devon. I'm just worried, okay? We. Don't know if Rina's even going to be okay and." It's clear the young Galliard's stressed, right now. "And— I. I was with Rina a few weeks back and. The guy. The leech came up and talked to her and. I shoulda known more was up, she seemed off, then, too." Then, Flint's headed for the stairs, up to the fifth floor.
